# Banking cash

> Count cash note by note, bank it the next working day, and record the deposit with its slip.

## Count the cash

At close, count the cash note by note in the **Cash count**. Gasos compares it with what's expected: sales − POS and transfers − expenses. Any difference needs a reason.

## Bank it

Bank the cash the next working day. Under **Money**, choose **Record a deposit**: the amount, the bank, the teller number and a photo of the deposit slip. Gasos splits it across the oldest unbanked days first; change the split if the cash came from different days.

One deposit can cover several days, and one day's cash can go in several deposits. A day can never be banked for more than was counted.

## Cash not yet banked

**Money** shows the cash still in the safe for each day. Cash unbanked for more than two days is flagged to the owner.
