# Gas reports and stock

> Gas sales and gas stock reports, credit sales by product, gas tanks and cylinders on the Stock page, low gas on Today, and asking Ask Gasos about gas.

Everything recorded about gas on the daily sheet comes back as figures: what was sold, what's in stock, what was gained or lost, and what dealers took on account. Like every report, these use **submitted and approved** sheets only.

## Gas sales report

Under **Reports**, choose **Gas sales**. For each day and station, and in total:

* **Dispensed**: kg sold at the dispensers, from their meters.
* **Exchanged**, one column per cylinder size: how many cylinders were exchanged, and **Cylinders**, their gas in kg (count × size).
* **Gas sold**: the dispensers' kg plus the cylinders' kg.
* **On account**: the kg sold to dealers and other credit customers, by the kg or by the cylinder. It's part of the gas sold.
* **Sales** in naira, and the **average a kg** (sales ÷ kg sold). Cylinder exchanges are priced by the cylinder, so they're in the average too.

Below that, the same figures **by station**, the **cylinder exchanges by size** (count, kg, naira and the average an exchange), and the **dispensers by price a kg**, where a day with a price change shows both prices.

## Gas stock report

Choose **Gas stock** for the gas tanks and the cylinders over a period.

**By gas tank** runs from the first day's opening to the last gauge in the range: kg received, kg sold, the net **gain (+) or loss (−)** against the book, the same as a percentage of what was sold, and the days outside the allowance. **Gas tanks day by day** has each day's opening, received, sold, book stock (opening + received − sold), the gauge, the gain or loss and the allowance. Days outside the allowance are shaded: red for a loss, amber for a gain. Tap a day to open its sheet.

**Cylinders by size**, for each size the station keeps: full and empty at the start, full received, exchanged, empties sent for refilling, the last count, and the differences against the book, added up over every day. **Cylinders day by day** has each count.

<Note>
  Book stock in a gas tank counts only what the dispensers sold. Exchanged cylinders were filled before, so they don't come out of the tank.
</Note>

## Credit sales by product

Where **Credit & fleet** is on, **Credit sales by product** lists what was sold on account, fuel and gas: by customer and product, by product, by customer (most first), and sale by sale with the slip number. Fuel is in litres, gas by the kg in kg, and cylinder exchanges as a count of cylinders with their kg. Invoices, payments and who owes are under **Credit customers**.

## The other reports

* **Daily summary** and **Sales** have a **Gas** column in kg. Sales shows the dispensers' kg and the cylinders exchanged as their own rows, and gas by its price a kg under **By pump price**.
* **Deliveries and shortages** has gas tankers in kg, with their weighbridge tickets, beside fuel.

Every report exports to PDF and CSV. In a CSV, kg are plain numbers with three decimals so the columns add up.

## Stock page

Where a station has gas tanks, **Stock** shows:

* **Gas in stock**: the kg in its gas tanks from the latest gauges, and about how many days that lasts at the recent kg a day.
* **Gas tanks**: each tank's kg, how full it is, days left, kg sold a day, the last gauge, and that day's gain or loss against the book.
* **Cylinders**: full and empty cylinders of each size at the last count, and any difference from the book.

A gas tank is **Low** like a fuel tank: under 3 days left at the recent rate, or under the station's reorder level for gas.

## Today

**Today** shows each station's gas sold (with the cylinders exchanged and any gas received) and its gas tanks beside the fuel tanks. **Needs attention** lists a gas tank that's low or empty, a gauge off the book beyond the allowance or not read, cylinders fewer than the book, and open claims for short gas tankers.

## Asking about gas

[Ask Gasos](/insight/ask-gasos) answers questions about gas the same way, for example *How much gas did Abeokuta Road sell last week?*, *Which gas tank lost the most this month?*, *How many 12.5 kg cylinders do we have?* or *Which gas dealers owe the most?*
