# Credit customers

> Switch on Credit & fleet, open accounts for the companies that buy fuel on account, and add their vehicles.

## Switch it on

An owner or admin turns on Credit & fleet under **Apps**. Choose **Try free for 14 days**. The trial is once per company; to keep it after that, talk to us. While it's on, the sidebar has a **Credit & fleet** section: Credit customers, Invoices and Who owes.

Owners and admins open accounts, set limits, issue invoices and record payments. Anyone who edits the daily sheet can record fuel on account. Reviewers and viewers see credit in reports.

## Add a customer

Under **Credit customers**, choose **Add customer**:

* **Name**, **contact person**, **phone (WhatsApp)**, **email for invoices**, **address** and **TIN**. The TIN and address print on invoices.
* **Credit limit** — the most they may owe. A sale that takes them over still goes on the sheet, but needs a reason.
* **Pay within** — days after the invoice date that payment is due.
* **Account** — **Active**, **On hold** (sales need a reason) or **Closed** (no more sales).
* **Stations** — every station, including ones added later, or the stations you choose.

The list shows what each customer owes against their limit. Open a customer for their vehicles, fill-ups, payments, invoices and statement.

## Vehicles

On the customer's page, choose **Add vehicle**: the plate number and a description, like "Toyota Hilux, white". Attendants pick the plate when they record fuel on account.

A plate belongs to one customer. Spaces and dashes don't matter: "LSR 123 AB" and "LSR-123AB" are the same plate. Switch a vehicle to **Not in use** when it leaves the fleet; its past fill-ups stay on the account.
