# Install the app

> Put Gasos on your phone's home screen or your computer, and what works without a connection.

Gasos runs in the browser, and you can install it like an app. It gets its own icon, opens full screen without the browser bar, and starts faster on a weak connection. There's nothing to download from a store, and it updates itself.

## On an Android phone

1. Open [gasos.ng/app](https://gasos.ng/app) in Chrome and sign in.
2. Tap the **?** at the top right of any page, then **Install Gasos**.
3. Tap **Install**.

You can also use Chrome's menu (**⋮**) and tap **Install app** or **Add to Home screen**.

## On an iPhone or iPad

1. Open [gasos.ng/app](https://gasos.ng/app) in Safari and sign in.
2. Tap **Share** (the square with an arrow) in the browser bar.
3. Tap **Add to Home Screen**. You may need to scroll down.
4. Tap **Add**.

The **?** menu's **Install Gasos** shows these steps too.

## On a computer

In Chrome or Edge, open Gasos and click **?** at the top right, then **Install Gasos**. Or click the install icon at the right of the address bar. Gasos then opens in its own window and can be pinned to the taskbar or dock.

On a Mac with Safari, choose **File → Add to Dock**.

## What works without a connection

Once you've used Gasos online on a device, it opens without a connection, straight into your workspace. Readings, photos and till sales wait on the device and send when you're back online.

There are a few things to do first and some rules that keep unsent work safe. Read [Working offline](/getting-started/working-offline) before relying on it at a station.

## Updates

When there's a new version, Gasos shows **A new version of Gasos is ready.** Tap **Reload** when you're at a good point. It never reloads by itself, so nothing you're typing is lost.

## Removing it

Remove it like any app: press and hold the icon and choose **Remove** or **Uninstall**. On a computer, open the app's menu and choose **Uninstall**.
